I am a recent graduate from North Carolina State University! I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a 3.73 GPA. I majored in Middle Grades Social Studies and Language Arts Education. I have taken and passed both Praxis 2 subject tests to certify me in both language arts and social studies. I am now awaiting only a physical copy of my teaching license.
Experience
I am an education major, and have taken a variety of classes on how to teach. I spent the 2nd semester of my senior year of high school tutoring in a 2nd grade classroom every day for 1.5 hrs. I worked for the Arc of NC from January 2012 to August 2013 doing one-on-one work with individuals with mental and physical disabilities. I then transferred to A Small Miracle Network doing the same work with several more individuals. I have also tutored a 8 children ranging from ages 4 to 13 in multiple subject. I have primarily focused on literacy and writing.

Thursday after 3PM, Friday after 3PM, Wednesday in the morning

Hobbies
I am the 4th of 7 children and I love spending time with my family. I am very social; I love spending time with friends. I spend a lot of time hiking and camping when I am home in Asheville, NC. I play the guitar. I like to cook anything where the recipe is accompanied by a picture! I'll still make something without a picture, though.
