Experience

I've worked with multiple students as a grad assistant while attending school. I've also spent time in High School and lower classrooms as part of education based classes while studying for my Bachelors. I'm currently going back to school to study Special Education and Behavioral Therapy but I do not have a degree in either yet. I enjoy teaching and working with individuals and my goal is to be able to transition my relevant experience as a Grad Assistant in the college classrooms and my training and time in K-12 classrooms with my eventual degree in Special Education and certification as a Behavioral Therapist to aid individuals on the Autism spectrum and diagnosed with Asperger's on the spectrum to transition to college and University.

Hobbies

I am a traveler, with a number of trips all over Europe and Asia. I lived in England for almost five years while earning my Bachelors degree and then in Philadelphia exploring the area while working on my Masters. I spend a lot of time exploring the Triangle and consider myself a foodie who enjoys trying new food and visiting new restaurants. I read for pleasure and have a vast library of multiple books from history subjects to biographies, fiction, science-fiction and fantasy. I do video game and know computers informally as most 30 somethings these days do from years of experience working with them. I come from a military family and my other half served until recently before retiring so I volunteer my free time with various veterans support groups as well as for organizations that support childhood Autism and Asperger's. My goal in going back to school is to get a degree in Special Education and help individuals with Autism and those who register with Asperger's on the spectrum transition to college and to be able to work with colleges and Universities to accommodate their needs as they traverse the college landscape.
