Experience
I worked as a tutor during undergrad in various subjects. Research, writing, and English were my strongest suits. One notable achievement during undergrad was completing an honors thesis while maintaining a full course load. My other favorite subjects were political science and economics, which greatly informed the direction and methods for independent study. I also volunteered to help exchange students from Saudi Arabia and China with English as a foreign language. That experience helped me to develop the patience and cultural competence required for tutoring ESL and TOEFL. Post-bachelor's, I worked in a law firm before returning to pursue a juris doctorate with full tuition grant. Among other qualifications, reading and writing have been lifelong pursuits, and I hope to encourage others.
