Experience
At heart, I am a liberal arts person. My favorite subjects are history, psychology, and any English class that involves rereading a Jane Austen novel! I enjoy reading, volunteering with kids, and spending too much money on craft supplies. I am great at helping students prepare for standardized exams (ACT, AP, GRE, or SAT) so they can walk confidently into the testing room. I am very familiar with how these tests work, as I have taken nine AP exams myself, including U.S. history, physics B, English comp, world history, psychology, statistics, biology, European history, and English lit. In high school, I was selected as a National Merit Finalist by the college board for my SAT and PSAT scores, and graduated third in my class of over 600. I earned my undergraduate degree in psychology, with minors in Spanish and neuroscience, from Texas A&M University. I graduated summa cum laude and went directly into my current graduate coursework in school psychology at Texas State University. I chose my current career path based on my program's focus on helping all students do their best at home and at school. As your tutor, I do not know all the answers, but I promise to show you how to find them.
