I took math classes as high as Calculus 3 in high school, going on to graduate in the 99th percentile of my class, earn an 800 on the SAT Math and a 2100 on the SAT overall. After high school I spent four years studying economics at UNC-Chapel Hill under the tutelage of some of the brightest minds in the field, earning my B.A. in Economics in the spring of 2013. I owe much of my academic success to the fantastic mentors I've been fortunate to have and nothing makes me happier than to give back.

Hobbies
I'm a huge music nerd and a lifelong musician -- I played trumpet in my high school jazz band, started a ukulele ensemble in college and currently make beats with analog synthesizers and my laptop. I've even worked in music: as a music reporter, as an audio tech and as an analyst at a music-industry startup. My other big hobby is hiking. Feel free to ask me about the month I spent on the Appalachian Trail or the time I stepped between a mother bear and her cubs.
