Education
Having attended a terrific classical school (Regents School of Austin), I enrolled at Furman University in 2004 to double major in classics and philosophy. While at Furman, I co-taught an intermediate Latin class, worked as a legal intern for the Texas Attorney General's Office, and was invited to work on early Homeric manuscripts with Harvard's Center for Hellenic Studies. At the moment, I am year away from graduating with a BD from Heythrop College at the University of London and from graduating with a MDiv from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. I have lately been working in discourse linguistics and the New Testament. Lexham Press has me down to write commentaries on the discourse features of the New Testament texts. I will be applying to study New Testament at Duke next fall. I would like to study for a PhD under Mark Goodacre.
Experience
In my several years at a major test prep company, I had one of the highest customer satisfaction ratings of any teacher in the country. In less than a year, I was promoted to training the company's teachers in Upstate South Carolina and in the Southern region of North Carolina. I trained teachers on the SAT, ACT, GRE (the graduate school entrance exam), LSAT (law school), GMAT (business school), NCLEX (nursing school), and MCAT (medical school).
